SIPS organizes Trekking & Hiking Camp

Jammu, Oct 23: Trekking is the best way of exploring and enjoying the beauty of nature.
The love of nature & the pursuit of the unknown has eternally drawn man to leave the comfort and security of his home to venture beyond the blue ranges on the horizon. With this aim a two days Trekking & Hiking trip to Nathatop & Patnitop was organized by Stephens International Public School on 20th & 21th Oct, 2018 under ISA, British Council Accredited Programme.
Total 160 Students of class 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th participated in the camp along with teachers. The students were briefed about the rules & regulations of the camp. Teachers and their guides also briefed about the risk and precautions before the trek and the importance of the traversing a span nature for a period of time. The student got ready for a trek to Nathatop hill. They went on a trek of 10 km and it was a very difficult trek with elevated features and scenic beauty. Next morning they were taken to Patnitop for Hiking after breakfast. They went along the side of the road. Then they were taken to Children Park where they enjoyed swings, slides, see-saw, etc. Overall it was a thrilling, exciting and incredible experience. The director of the school Satvinder Saini and the Principal M.K. Agnihotri congratulated the students and their teachers for the successful completion of trekking and hiking camp.
