Jammu region being targetted through ingress by Pakistan
10/23/2018 10:57:25 PM
Pakistani troops continue to push groups of militants from across the LOC and even the IB is concentrated for ingress to raise the level of violence in the region of Jammu. Already Pakistan has derailed peace in the Kashmir valley. And the recent incidents of ingress in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district. And the militants, who are wishing to cross the LOC, have been a source of worry for the troops. Not that they only raise the level of violence but also kill those troops that foil the infiltration bids. And the latest incident in Sunderbani area where three soldiers were killed and one was critically injured in an encounter with militants near the Line of Control (LoC) in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district the other day. Two intruders were shot dead. "The intruders fired on a patrol party. In the retaliatory fire, two heavily armed militants were killed. It was a kind of a Border Action Team (BAT) operation," reports stated
Though only two intruders were killed but war-like war like store of ammunition and other weapons besides two AK-47 rifles were recovered from the spot where the two militants were killed. And invariably the ingress is being done during the middle of the night in order to cash on darkness of the night and with the hope that the Indian soldiers could have been asleep. But the Indian troops were alert and retaliated killing two intruders.
On one side Pakistan has been pleading for the resumption of talks to discuss the issues that keep on bedeviling the relations between India and Pakistan. India has been willing to hold talks but the process of dialogue could have resumed if Pakistan ends export of terror which Pakistan has not done so far. This way the doors of talks are shut and Pakistan seems to create an impression that Islamabad was keen to open the doors of dialogue but India is unwilling. This is the strategy being adopted by Pakistan and in the meantime Pakistani troops try to push militants into Jammu and Kashmir for raising the level of violence which has been the main purpose behind helping terrorists to cross into Jammu and Kashmir.
