SSB approves 27 selection lists for 554 posts
75 withheld recommendations released, 62 inoperative recommendations cancelled

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 24: The J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) today approved 27 final selection lists for 554 posts in different categories. The Board also released 75 withheld recommendations of earlier selections.

According to a statement issued by Malik Suhail, PRO JKSSB, the selection lists were approved at 144th marathon meeting of the Board convened this evening under the chairmanship of Zubair Ahmad, Chairman, J&K Services Selection Board.

The meeting was attended by the Members of the Board, Anil Koul, Prof Tasleema Peer, Dr Nirupa Rai, Ajay Kumar Sharma, Rachna Sharma, Vivek Sharma, Musheer Ahmad Mirza, Nawab Din.

Secretary, JKSSB, Ranjeet Singh and other officers of the Board were also present in the meeting.

He said the lists cleared by the Board include selection for 495 posts of Junior Assistants of School Education Department for 19 districts of Rajouri, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, Reasi, Jammu, Ramban, Kishtwar, Poonch, Anantnag, Bandipora, Baramulla, Budgam, Ganderbal, Kulgam, Kupwara, Pulwama, Shopian and Srinagar.

However, he said, the selections in respect of district Doda could not be finalized as court directions relating to the selections in the said district are required to be examined further in consultation with the School Education Department.

Malik said the selection lists also include 59 posts of Physical Education Teachers of Youth Services & Sports Department in the districts of Bandipora, Ganderbal, Kulgam, Kupwara, Shopian, Udhampur, Pulwama and Srinagar.

In addition to these selections, he said, the Board also approved release of withheld recommendations against various posts, in respect of 75 candidates, whose selections were earlier kept withheld for completing various deficiencies or for want of clarifications.

The Board also approved cancellation of the recommendations/ candidature in respect of 62 candidates, selected earlier for different posts, whose recommendations had been kept withheld for completing deficiencies, but who failed to complete the deficiencies, despite repeated notices by the Board. “This shall help the candidates, figuring in the waitlists to get chance of employment,” he said.
