DEO suspends ReT teacher for MCC violation

RAJOURI, Nov 6: District Election Officer (DEO) Rajouri has placed under suspension a Rehber-e-Taleem (ReT) teacher for campaigning in favour of a candidate for the ensuing Panchyat elections in the district. People have been complaining about the violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) by the government employees. In this connection inquiries have been initiated by the district election authorities. In one such incident, the District Election Officer (DEO), M A Asad, who is also DDC Rajouri, has suspended a ReT on Monday and attached him with the office of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) at Nowshera.
Earlier, a complaint was received by the election authorities about the MCC violation by Paramjeet Singh, ReT teacher posted at Middle School at Sarh in Qila Darhal tehsil.
The inquiry was initiated on the complaint and according to DEO, the said teacher was found to be involved.
He added the teacher was placed under suspension under section 3 of the Panchyat Raj Act 1989 and was attached with the office of ADC, Nowshera till further orders.
Model Code of Conduct (MCC) has been enforced in Rajouri district during ensuing Panchyat Election process and the polling for the first face will be held on November 17.
