11/13/2018 10:22:41 PM

Early Times Report
Rajouri, Nov 13: People including Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member Parliament, government employees deputed for Panchyats election process in far off areas, and students aced many hardships for about 3 hours as Rajouri-Budhal-Reasi district road remained closed due to landslide.
The landslide occurred due to heavy rains in the district since morning at village Rehan at about 3 pm on Rajouri-Kotranka-Budhal road.
Shahbaz Khan, one among the commuters alleged that despite the JCB and Pokland machines of General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF) present at Mandargala near the land sliding spot none of the officials of the GREF came to the rescue of the commuters for about 2 hours.
He added large number of cars, passenger vehicles and cavalcade of MP, Jugal Kishore remain stranded due to land sliding for hours together in the heavy rains.
"The worst sufferers due to land sliding were the women, girls and children who continue to remain inside the vehicles without any provision of food/ drinks" said Shahbaz Khan a member of election process team.
He added till 5.30 pm the road was not cleared and the policemen for the security of the MP and other commuters were trying hard to remove the boulders so that the traffic can be resumed as the darkness had gripped the area.
