Panchayat election preparations finalized, first phase election on 17 Nov

RAMBAN, Nov 15: The Panchayat election is going to start in 7 phases and the notification has been issued for the first phase the election will be conduct on 17 November in two block of district Ramban including Ramsoo and Khari block.
There are 27 panchayats in two blocks in which 15 in Ramsoo whereas 12 in Khari where polling will be conducted.
The district administration has finalized all the adequate arrangements for the polling. The ROs and election staff has been deputed to conduct free and fair election.
Whereas the security arrangements has also put in position to avoid any mishappening or disturbance during election process.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban Anita Sharma said that some area has been notified as sensitive and the department has made the extra arrangements of security for those polling booths.
District Election Officer (DEO) Ramban Showkat Aijaz Bhat said that all the ROs and other staff members are send from district headquarter with election material towards their polling stations and there is a joint control room established by the district administration to keep on check the ongoing election process.
He appealed the voters to come out and use your adult franchise in panchayat election for choosing the local level representatives for the betterment of their respective areas.
