Jammu, Nov 15: Expressing strong resentment against the BJP high command for not giving him appropriate position in the legal cell of BJP district Kathua, Arvind Kumar (advocate, District & Sessions Court, Kathua) on Thursday resigned from the post of Special Invitee in the legal cell.
Advocate Kumar sent his resignation to BJP national president Amit Shah in which he mentioned that he has been a practicing advocate and former Bar Association president of district courts Kathua.
Advocate Kumar mentions that his father was a member of the Bhartiya Jan Sangh and councillor of then TAC, Kathua, at present Municipal Corporation, Kathua, and had also suffered during the emergency. "…the undersigned…from the core of heart believes in BJP's ideology," he writes. He remained spokesperson of district cell of BJP, Kathua and incharge of legal cell and also convenor of Adhivakta Parishad and was doing assignment as ordered by the BJP.
Advocate Kumar said that "one fine morning" he was surprised to find his name in some newspapers as special invitee without consulting him. He says that a much junior advocate has been appointed as convenor and his junior associates namely Himanshu Sharma, Nishant Singh have been appointed as co-convenor and as such he cannot work under his juniors.
He further writes that he also took liberty to apprise the party president that after 2014 elections, the old BJP members are feeling suffocated and with the conduct of assembly election and subsequent formulation of BJP in the government of J&K, the interference of the local MLA, Kathua, the old BJP members are feeling neglected which may lead to alienation of the public from the party. He further said that he "being the all-timer considers BJP as mother, so take the liberty to humbly suggest that alienation of the people from the party may kindly be remedied of the earlier." |
