5 receive injuries in oxygen cylinder blast at JP Chanderkote

RAMBAN, Nov 15: Five persons were critically injured in an oxygen cylinder blast at Baglihar Hydropower Project at Chanderkote area of district Ramban, this morning. Police alongwith Army and locals reached on spot and shifted the injured persons to the District Hospital Ramban.
After given the injured persons proper first aid they were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for further treatment.
When contacted Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban Anita Sharma said that at J P Chanderkote today morning the blast took place inside a store of the power project at the time of unloading the cylinders.
She further said that apparently it look like a accident, but still police has take cognizance and started further investigations. She added that the police have seized the area where the incident took place.
The department also called FSL team to know the exact reason behind the blast.
The injured persons were identified as Ravinder Singh son of Dhayan Singh resident of Punjab, Satish Sharma, Mohan Lal son of Prem Nath resident of Kunfer Chanderkote, Faqir Chand son of Hem Raj resident of Chanderkote, Kishor Lal son of Dhani Ram resident of Himachal Pardesh.
