DPS Udhampur hosts inter-school drawing competition

UDHAMPUR, Nov 22: Delhi Public School (DPS), Udhampur today hosted an inter-school drawing competition, under the banner of Jammu Sahodaya Complex Jammu chapter here today. As many as 15 schools from in and around Jammu participated in the competition.
Dr Yogeshwar Gupta, president Udhampur Municipal Corporation (UMC) was the chief guest while Surinder Singh Khals,a vice president UMC and Dr JC Gupta, pro-vice chairman DPS Udhampur, were the guests of honour.
Pro-vice chairman Dr JC Gupta declared the competition open with the lighting of the traditional ceremonial lamp among chatting of mantras.
The competition was dived among 3 age groups. Group one for classes 6th to 8th, group 2 classes 9 & 10th and group 3 for classes 11th & 12th. All groups were further divided into four categories, Poster making, Portrait making, traditional art & Craft.
Speaking in the occasion chief guest, Dr Yogeshwar Gupta congratulated the winners and appreciated DPS Udhampur team for putting up such a marvellous show.
In Group 1, Ayushi Behra of APS Nagrota got consolation prize while 3rd prize went to DPS Udhmapur's Kinjal Rajput. Anshika of APS Akhnoor bagged 2nd prize while Jammu Sanskriti School's Priyanka Singh clinched the 1st prize.
In Group2, consolation prize was won by G D Goenka's Divyansh Gupta while 3rd prize was bagged by Jammu Sanskriti School's Sushant. 2nd prize in this category was won by APS Nagrota's Anchal while the winner of 1st prize was APS Akhnoor's Bhavishya.
In Group 3, consolation prize went to APS Nagrota's Shruti Sharma where as 3rd prize was won by Heritage School's Khushi Kumar. 2nd prize winner was APS Akhnoor's Sanjana Sharma while 1st prize was clinched by G D Goenka's Arman Luthra.
