Vijaypur, Nov 28: The 89TH Birth anniversary of Famous Dogri Poet Kehar Singh Madhukar Ji was celebrated at his Native village Gurha Salathia area of tehsil Vijaypur in District Samba here today. The program was organized in the view of noted writer Mohan Singh Salathia.
According to the report, on this occasion a large number of people of this area and prominent poets of the state were participated in this Program. During the poet festival, the devotees remembered the late Madhukar through their own compositions and presented them with reverence. They said that like this every year, the poet Kehar Singh Madhukar Birthday anniversary was celebrated in his native village Gurha Salathia. The preparations for which were going on for several days.
On Tuesday, ten o'clock a tribute was paid to late Kehar Singh Madhukar. Madhukar's poems were also discussed on this occasion. In addition to the poet concert, the program of song-music was also organized. Mohan Singh Saththia presented the poetry of Madhukar Kehar Singh in front of the audience.
