Mendhar, Jan 11: The residents of Lanjoite and Balakote village in Balakote of sub-division Mendhar alleged that the Power Development Department (PDD) has failed to repair the transformer, that had developed some technical snag over a month ago.
"Since then the transformer is yet be repaired. PDD officials did not ever bother to send the transformer for repairs to the workshop," the locals told said, adding that due to which several households have plunged into darkness.
The village has about 80 households, and the entire community is living under the darkness. We have been pushed to darkness by the officials and the employees of PDD department, they alleged.
"The 63KV transformer is insufficient, and even if get repaired, it will get overloaded will again go kaput", Anzar Khan, a social worker said. |
