Kathua, Jan 11: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kathua in collaboration with Dhurab Singh Memorial Youth Club, Jari has organized two days sports tournament at playground of TCM School, Jarai, Block Nagri.
The theme of the tournament was," No Drugs - No Rash Driving" to sensitize the youth and promote Sports Culture and involve more and more Youth with sports activities in rural areas.
In which 16 teams participated in Volley Ball, Kabaddi and Athletics completions were organized, the tournament was inaugurated by Aradhana Andotra, Sarpanch Jarai.
In Kabaddi Match Kathua Club defeated R.S. Pura by a considerable victory margin by 45: 18 Points and lift the trophy and cash prize of Rs.10, 000 and Rs. 7000 to the runners up. In volleyball match Youth Club Jalandhar defeated Youth Club Taloor by 3:2 sets and lift the trophy and cash prize of Rs.10000 and the runners up Rs.7000.
On the occasion Kewal Singh, Gain Singh, Shah Din, Yaseen, Mohd. Rafiq, Bhushan Kumar Panch and prominent citizens were present. |
