Kashmir centric parties responsible for derailment of peace in J&K
1/13/2019 10:33:02 PM
The Kashmir centric parties, in
cluding the National Conference, the Congress and the PDP and lesser parties have followed the policy of appeasement of people which is the reason for the size of violence since 1990. It is wrong for Dr Jitendra Singh Union Minister in PMO to hold only the Congress responsible for appeasement of people which has been the reason for the ongoing trouble., Dr Jitendra Singh has stated that Kashmir is paying the price of appeasement policy started by Congress Government at Centre since Nehruvean era., The Union Minister said that the Congress started appeasement of Sheikh Abdullah since 1947 as well as a section of people in the Valley since then.
Terming it a dangerous trend, he said the Kashmir is now paying the price for this appeasement policy started by Congress during the regime of Sheikh Abdullah. This trend was emulated by other Kashmir Centric parties and National Conference (NC) adopted the policy of appeasement of separatists. In their bid to one upmanship over each other the political parties stated competitive separatism by appeasing separatists which later entered into a dangerous trend of appeasing terrorists.
Earlier in an interview to news channel, Dr Jitendra Singh said that the situation in J&K has improved after imposition of Governor's rule. He said the terrorism as well as infiltration has been contained both on border and within Valley and security forces have been given full powers to take decision on their own according to the situation.
Dr Jitendra Singh should know it better than any body else that infiltration from across the LoC continues. And when it become difficult Pakistani troops resort to ceasefire violations to push groups of militants into Kashmir. And this time Jaish-e-Mohammad is playing the main role in keeping the Kashmir situation on the boil. The JeM has succeeded in enrolling local boys in south Kashmir into its outfit with the result Anantnag continue to be prone to incidents of violence. And the security forces have been told to follow the Standard operating practices under which civilians are to be segregated from militants before the security forces open fire.
