BJP only hope for West Pakistani refugees : WPHRF
1/20/2019 9:38:24 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 20: A meeting of West Pakistani Hindu Refugee Front (WPHRF) was held here at Gurah Brahmana, Patoli, to discuss various issues and grievances of West Pakistani Refugees (WPRs) and to gear up their struggle for the permanent residentship of the state and other reliefs.
The meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of Subedar Major (Retd) Madan Lal Dubgotra, also deliberated on the issues of domicile certificate till they are considered as permanent residents and reservations in central jobs as a whole as well as for the residents within 6 Kms on IB. Dubgotra, on this occasion expressed the need of issuance of "Domicile Certificate" to WPRs by the state government to avail benefits of Central Sponsored Schemes like Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS), Beti Bachao and Beti Padao, Ladli Beti and Loan for Self Employment under Make in India.
While speaking on the issue raised by few members that all WPRs should vote against BJP during 2019 parliamentary election oust it from power as stated by Labha Ram Gandhi, an another WPR leader, in an interview with JKAC media reporter that BJP has deceived WPRs for 5 years and now announced cash relief of Rs 5.5 lakh for which formalities as laid down in the scheme for disbursement of relief to WPRs cannot be completed in many cases and relief's disbursement has not so far been started even after more than six months of announcement by Home Minister.
However, Dubgotra in response stated that BJP is only the hope for West Pakistani Refugees (WPRs) adding that it opened enrolment in forces for WPRs from 2016, which was otherwise stopped by Congress government since 2005 making Permanent Residentship Certificate (PRC) compulsory for enrolment in forces and terminated the earlier provision of central government of 2002.
