JKFFA remembers Neta Ji Subash Chander Bose on eve of 122nd birth anniversary

JAMMU, Jan 20: J&K Freedom Fighters Association (JKFFA) on Sunday held an impressive function to remember Neta Ji Subash Chander on his 122nd birth anniversary at Government College for Women, Parade Ground Jammu. On this occasion, Great Grand-daughter of Neta Ji Subash Chander Bose, Rajyashree Choudhary was the Chief Guest and Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation was the guest of honor. On this occasion, Mayor JMC and former JMC Commissioner Kiran wattal were felicitated with shawls .The function was organised by JKFFA Chairman Ved Gandotra and Vice Chairman Rajiv Mahajan besides executive members of Association.
Rajyashree Choudhary, while thanking the J&K Freedom Fighters Association for organizing the programme, said that such occasions remind us about the cruelties being resorted on our people by British, which finally resulted into bringing the patriotic people together to throw it out and get freedom. "Subash Chander Bose, who was a great organizer, worked as a revolutionary to mobilize public to fight the British vigorously by leaving the luxuries of life for the sake of motherland", she added. She further said that J&K is glory of India and people of J&K will strive hard to keep it so.
Speaking on the occasion, Gandotra said that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's patriotism continues to have an impact in the country. His slogan 'Jai Hind' is relevant to us even today. He said the life and sacrifice of this great national hero would ever act as a beacon for inspiring the youth to do selfless service for the country. He further said that today it was all the more important to make the younger generations aware about the hardships faced by our great freedom fighters for the sake of emancipating the country from the yoke of foreign imperialism so that they could be inspired for serving the country. He also exhorted the youth to come forward for selfless service of the nation, so as to cherish the aspirations of our great freedom fighters. He said Subash Chander Bose went to the people with the slogan of Swaraj and said that only slogans will not liberate the country from the clutches of slavery and stressed that united efforts were need to give a strong blow to British and get motherland freed.
