Police recues 4 years child begging on Ban Ganga track

Katra, Jan 20: Katra police rescued a minor child who suddenly collapsed in a drain on Ban Ganga track near Charan Paduka temple while he was begging on the track.
Police sources said that today information received at police post Ban Ganga through reliable source that one child namely Balbir kumar of Mongri District Udhampur was suddenly collapsed in the drain on Banganga track near Charan Paduka temple while he was begging on the track.
Acting on this, police team of police post Ban Ganga alongwith employees of Shrine Board Katra rushed to the spot and shifted the injured child Balbir to Pusphanjali medical unit for medical treatment where the medical officer gave him required treatment and the said child got stable.
After this, on the direction of Nisha Natyal-SSP Reasi, Naresh singh-Asp katra, DySP Vivek Shekhar Sharma-SDPO Katra, incharge police post Ban Ganga called the team of child welfare committee at Banganga .
The said team handed over the above mentioned child to his parents in presence of civilians after completing the formalities under Juvenile Justice Act.CWC directed the parents of child for producing the child before CWC on 21-01-2019 for further care and protection of child.
On this SSP Reasi directed the concerned officers of Katra Sub Division for starting special drive against child labour, begging and crime related to Juveniles on Ban Ganga track.
Acting on the direction of senior formations police team of police post Banganga headed by SI Ajay Kumar Engotra incharge police post Ban Ganga, Child welfare committee (care and protection of child team) headed by Jipsy Badyal member CWC, team of Shrine Board Banganga headed by Neeraj Raina conducted special drive against child labour, begging and other crimes related to Juveniles. During the special drive the combined team found 5 children doing labour at vaishno Dhabas on the track and 2 children found begging. Finally Child welfare committee handed over the rescued children to their parents with proper guidelines of Juvenile Justice Act.
