| Snow wreaks havoc in Chenab Valley, several house suffer damage | | |  Asif Iqbal Naik

Jammu, Feb 9: Even though the weather has improved in Chenab valley, the recent snowfall in Kishtwar and elsewhere wreaked havoc as a result of which several houses collapsed besides several fruit bearing plants also suffered damage. Speaking to Early Times, the officials said that they are preparing the damage reports caused due to snowfall adding that revenue officials including Patwaris have been instructed to prepare the damage reports.
In Kishtwar town the interior areas also suffered damages due to snowfall. In Ward No 7 of Kishtwar, the first floor of Vikar Ahmed Dev's house collapsed due to heavy snowfall. The newly elected President Municipal Committee Kishtwar Raiz Ahmed Zarger also conducted whirlwind tour of Kishtwar District to take stock of the public sufferings. Due to continuous road blockade, the patients also suffered. The people alleged that District Administration failed to air lift critical patients admitted in District Hospital despite they took the patient to the helipad. The people called upon Government for immediate shifting of critical patients from Kishtwar Hospital without any further delay. |
