Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 18: Even as former chief ministers, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti seem to be in a race to show their concern towards the people of Kashmir through their tweets, the Twitter users from Kashmir are telling a different story.
Both Mehbooba and Omar and some other leaders from the two regional parties are being accused of showing concern from their cozy homes.
The social media is flooded with such allegations against the politicians from Kashmir.
"Tweeting from Cozy rooms won't achieve anything, and will lead Kashmiri Students nowhere…," said a Twitter handle Nasir Kuehami.
He said he had called Omar, Mehbooba and also former MLA Langate several times but that they dint respond to his phone calls despite claiming to be concerned about Kashmiri students studying outside the state.
The people said that governments outside state of Jammu and Kashmir were doing remarkable job in ensuring security of Kashmir is places like Dehradun but the leaders of Kashmir were trying to create scene for their personal and party interests.
"For personal interests, @Shehla_Rashid shouldn't create problem for others. The more you will drag it will become problem for us further. Moreover @uttarakhandcops doing Commendable Job for the Security of the students, I spoke to DGP and SSP, who are Cooperating Sincerely," said Twitter handle.
Many of the people on social media said the Kashmiri politicians were trying to gain undue publicity out of their tweets when they were actually missing from the ground.
Kashmiris in Jammu said National Conference Omar Abdullah didn't come out of his cozy home Bhatindi here even once to see those stranded during the blockade of the Srinagar Jammu highway in the recent past.
"Though he was always active on Twitter, he never came out even once," said a delegation of Kashmiri people.
Despite repeated attempts facing public fury couldn't be contacted for comments.
