3/8/2019 10:59:35 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Mar 8: Expressing his serious concern over increasing activities of anti-national elements in peaceful Jammu region, Congress leader and former Minister Sham Lal Sharma said that it is result of the on-going competitive separatism between two main stream parties of Kashmir Valley that anti-national elements are getting encouragements all over the state.
Addressing a monthly meeting of block Congress Committee Akhnoor Sham Lal Sharma regretted that instead of playing role of mature politicians in a sensitive state of J&K,Kashmir centric leaders & parties are brazenly indulged into competitive separatism to appease anti-national elements to reap political benefits. "The leaders are playing very dangerous game and their actions would be proved disastrous for the state in general and Kashmir Valley in particular", Sharma said while quoting recent highly controversial and provocative statements of mainstream parties.
Cautioning people against nefarious designs of leadership of Kashmir centric parties, he said that these parties are brazenly trying to extend their divisive agenda in peaceful Jammu region through their stooges to create communal and regional divide in this part of the State. "As per centuries old tradition of maintain brotherhood and communal harmony, people of Jammu region would frustrate nefarious designs of Kashmir centric parties he said.
Taking dig on PDP President, he said that Mehbooba Mufti is giving provocative statements which are against spirit of secularism and national integration. He regretted that PDP President is behaving in irresponsible manner. He reminded that when Mehbooba Mufti was enjoying power with BJP she was speaking entirely different language but after losing power she is trying to instigate the people by racking up their emotions.
He further observed that anti-national elements got encouragements during three and half year tenure of previous government ,had announced various incentives for stone-pelters and other anti-national elements. "It was result of those incentives of previous government that anti-national elements got encouragements and strengthen their base in different parts of the state including Jammu region", he observed and recalled that thousands of stone-pelters, involved in agitational terrorism was released by the previous PDP-BJP government.
On the occasion of Women's day Sham Lal Sharma, called for attitudinal change in people's mindset to protect the rights of women folk in the society so that they could contribute in the socio-economic development of the country without any fear and stress.
