While congratulating the women employees of the bank on the occasion of International Women's Day, Chairman & CEO J&K Bank Parvez Ahmed said," "As we celebrate the International Women's Day globally, I take this opportunity to recognize the important contribution of women in our Society. It is a day to celebrate the spirit of all women, who have played extraordinary roles in shaping their families, society and organizations with an untiring determination. Our country is one of the few places that boast of showcasing extraordinary women from very early times. The legendary women from the state also have played a dynamic role in reshaping the life of the modern day women." The Chairman further said ,"In the contemporary times, we have many young women entrepreneurs who have made path breaking initiatives to carve out a space for themselves in the society besides providing livelihood to people and contributing to the economy.
And having felt the gap in addressing the women specific banking issues we aligned our policy for financial empowerment of women fraternity of J&K by opening the first of its kind Women Branch in Kashmir, perhaps the only one in the country, which is not only facilitating banking services to our women but is also providing financial assistance and counseling to Women Entrepreneurs at every stage of inception of a Business Start-Up with fair amount of success and we are shortly setting up another Women branch in Jammu."
The Chairman added," I am proud to say that we at JK Bank are a gender equal organization offering equal opportunities of thriving in a professional environment to our highly educated, brilliant and capable daughters. Our women colleagues deserve to be treated with utmost dignity and respect because they have earned it for themselves. So make sure your voices are heard in the world. And to the society, let's recognize the importance of the existence of a woman and motivate them for their future achievements. "
Speaking about the contribution of women officials of the bank Parvez Ahmed said,"I salute the women staff of our bank for striking an excellent balance between their personal & professional lives, a reason sufficient enough to stamp their efficacy as excellent managers. As always, J&K Bank remains committed towards the causes of women emancipation by providing equal opportunities to its women staff across a spectrum of functional roles, which is why we have seen an increasing number of women employees heading important functional roles in our bank, particularly Senior Management. Their journey in breaking the traditional glass ceiling in their respective workplaces is worth inspiring and indeed commendable.
