JAMMU, Mar 17: The official website of the Government Medical College and Hospital website has been a victim of official neglect for quite some time and serves no purpose, people interested in knowing about the hospital opine.
According to them, nobody maintains the website. "The website has information about various hospitals including Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh Hospital, Chest and Disease Hospital, Super-Specialty Hospital and others but isurprisingly, the information of orders, circulars, and other day to day work is updated rarely," they said.
Officials said a separate fund has been fixed for the maintenance of the website yearly but despite that the website is not maintained properly.
"It is useless as a few orders and other information was updated by the concerned. Other medical institutes or academic institutes within Jammu city, as well as Srinagar, update their respective websites on daily basis for the convenience of the general public," they added.
The neglected website, medical students said, causes inconvenience to them as it has no information to offer on circulars, orders and other important posts concerning the students.
The website poses similar problems to the faculty, the students said. |
