MAM PG College celebrates World Water Day

Jammu, Mar 23; 'World Water Day' was celebrated in Govt. MAM College Jammu on 22nd of March. The welcome address was presented by Dr. Karan Singh Associate NCC officer who also expressed his valuable views and history of the water conversation day. On the occasion Cadets Sumit Manhas, Aman Chima, Lokesh Loch, Manpreet Singh, Mahesh Kumar, Abhinandan Jamwal, Rishikesh Kumar and NSS volunteer Anchal Singh expressed their views regarding World Water Day. A poster making activity on the theme "Leaving No One behind" was also conducted and the cadets who participated in it were Aman Chima, Manpreet Singh, Sunil Kumar, Sant Kumar Mandi, Mahesh Kumar and Sushobit Sharma The faculty members who enlightened the students with their charismatic oration were Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul (Coordinator IQAC), Prof. Rakesh Sharma, Prof. Sajjad Iqbal. The invited chief guest Ashok Kumar Kalsi (D.F.O SFC Jammu Urban) in his address emphasized the need of awareness to be spread among masses regarding water conservation/ preservation and gave a detailed description of water table. The Principal of the College presided over the function and in a scintillating way educated the audience regarding the importance of "World Water Day" and also shared his experiences. He appreciated the efforts of the organizer Dr. Karan Singh and his team of NCC Cadets. Refreshment was served to the cadets to boost their morale to take up the initiative of community service for sustained development.
The senior most faculty members who grace the occasion were Dr. Anil Kumar Ganjoo, Dr. Namrata and Physical Director Sumnesh Sharma. The vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Devinder Sharma NSS programme officer of the College.
