CAPD labourers without salary for last 9 months

Jammu, Mar 24: Having not been paid salary to the labourers working in CAPD department for loading and unloading for the last 9 months in crisis have been facing the poor lot at the hands of the authorities sources said here today.
They said 7 labourers working as loading and unloading men in CAPD department have been drprived of salary for the last 9 months for reasons known to the men at helms have put the poor labourers and their families at financial crisis making difficult to make them both ends meet.
It is pertinent to mention here that CAPD department has appointed labourers for loading and unloading the material on monthly emoulement of RS 6700 and number of such labourers in TSO office Mendhar is seven who were not paid for unknown reasons for the last 9 months while all the staff was getting their salaries in time from the department barring the 7 labourers. Head of the Labourers Khadim ahmed Khan said that we insisted a number of times Tehsil supply officer Mendhar for our salary as we were facing financial crisis but our plea was not heard , he added.
When contacted Assistant Director Food Suppply Department Ranjit Singh told Early Times that he has recently joined his duties and I will look into the matter soon and I assure that the salary of poor labourers will be release in priority , Singh added.
