| PDP helping BJP in Kishtwar by calling for poll boycott: NC | | | Asif Iqbal Naik

Jammu, Apr 7: Senior National Conference Vice President from District Kishtwar today accused the PDP of propagating poll boycott to favor the BJP.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of a party workers' meeting, Senior Vice President NC Kishtwar Ghulam Rasool Magrey said that PDP also favoured the BJP to win in 2014 assembly elections from Kishtwar constituency by cross voting in favor of Ex BJP MLA.
He said that some PDP leaders also encouraging the poll boycott and NOTA instead of guiding the party workers for casting their votes in favor of Congress Candidate
He said that if PDP leadership in Kishtwar District are serious towards the commitment made by the PDP President Mehbooba Mufti with regard to not filling any candidate from Udhampur Parliamentary seat with an aim to prevent the secular votes from division, it is the moral responsibility of the PDP leaders and its workers to ensure that PDP votes in favor of Congress candidate Vikram Aditiya Singh.
"If PDP leaders and workers from Kishtwar have respect towards the Party President Mehbooba Mufti-they (PDP workers) must come forward to cast their votes in favour of Congress candidate who is the joint candidate of NC and Congress beside support from the PDP as was assured by Mehbooba Mufti" said Ghulam Rasool Magrey.
He said that the party knows that it is a difficult and daunting task for them to ask party supporters to vote in favor of Congress party, particularly in Marwah region which is party's strong bastion, but party leadership in Kishtwar District makes every effort by ensuring transfer of NC votes in favor of the Congress candidate. He said that like NC, PDP leadership should come forward and ensure the transfer of party vote in favor of Congress candidate. |
