Harsh Dev urges people to vote for change
4/7/2019 10:23:30 PM
Early Times Report
Hiranagar, Apr 7: Appealing the people to get rid of the 'compulsive obsessive disorder' of voting in favour of Central parties time and again, Harsh Dev Singh said that neither Congress nor BJP have proved their worth to fulfill the aspirations of the people of Jammu region. "You have tried both of them. They have miserably failed to espouse the cause of Dogras in the Lok Sabha. Whenever you voted them to power, their focus just remained on Kashmir while Jammu province was totally marginalized under their rule", regretted Harsh. He was addressing series of public gatherings in Rajpura, Sherpur, Chakra, Sanji Morh, Saida, Rattanpur and Damtal segments of Hiranagar in Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency here today.
Addressing the gatherings, Harsh Dev Singh recalled that during the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in 2014, the people voted BJP to power with an overwhelming mandate in both the elections. While the BJP MPs from Jammu region remained mute spectators in the Union capital in five years, the Saffron party with its 25 MLAs in the State had compromised with the national and regional interests to empower Kashmir oriented 'Agenda of Alliance', added Harsh."You shamefully indulged in double standards and duplicity over Jammu issues. You retreated from your slogans of abrogating Art 370 and 35-A which were trumpeted before the elections. All your promises merely proved to be rhetoric. Your persistent U-turns on several core issues after assuming to power had hurt the soul of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee who would be wailing on you in the heavens", Harsh took a jibe at BJP.
Anguished over the traumatic subjugation being experienced by the people of Jammu region over these years, Singh maintained that people would no more get swayed by the Saffron rallies as they were well versed with the intentions of the power hungry BJP.
Speaking on the local issues, Singh said that youth, border dwellers and the farmers were the worst victims of BJP's betrayals under its rule. He rued that the provision of reservation in government jobs for the youth living along the borders at par with ALC had not seen the light of the day until now. He further pointed out that the border residents were living in fear psychosis due to Pak's firing and shelling which had thrown their life out of gear.
"It's time to hit the last nail in BJP's coffin. Vote for Panthers Party. Vote for change. Only we have a dynamic leadership to raise your voice in the Parliament. We will not let you down, we pledge", roared Harsh.
