JKEPL nominates office bearers

Jammu, Apr 7: The J&K Ex Policemen league, Jammu District held meeting to consitute the team of advisors and office bearers. The president of the league Sh Sawtanter Arora Ex Police Officers and Advocate nominated Sh Chirag Din Chowdhary, Verinder Bhasin, Kunwar Yoginder Singh Jamwal as Advisors, RK Bali Senior vice president, Ch Gulzar Ahmed, Vijay Khajuria, Durga Dass Sharma and Dhian Singh as vice presidents, Brahm Dutt, KP Singh and Kehar Singh Secretaries.
The JKEPL wishes Happy Navratras to all country men, police fraternity and their families. The team assured full support for the cause of ex policemen.
During the meeting, various pending demands and suggestions were voiced by the members which inclusde healthcare and enhancement of medical allowance, pay and pension anomoly, implementation of the recommendations of the pay commissions, enhancement in the exgratia relief and its timely disbursement.
The members appreciated the endeavour of the DGP Dilbagh Singh IPS who took stock of the grievances of the families of the martyrs. The members expressed that the scholarship amount in favour of the meritorious wards of the policemen should be enhanced considerably to enable them to take further studies, coaching and other facilities and grant of substantial amount for those interested in sports and other extra curricular activities to explore their talent to shape their future. The wards of expolicement should be absorbed against jobs in police department on reservation basis.
