As BJP released its manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha election, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has taken upon the Opposition and has stated that the ‘Sankalp Patra’ has been prepared with a strong nationalist vision and not by the ‘tukde tukde’ mindset.
After Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah and Home Minister Rajnath Singh released the manifesto, Arun Jaitley said that the document titled, ‘Sankalp Patra’ (document of resolve) has been rooted in reality.
While addressing the gathering at the BJP headquarter, Jaitley said, “Our new policy, new doctrine of striking terror in its origin has received global recognition.”
The Union finance minister, elaborating about key points in the 75 Sankalp laid down in the manifesto, said that Article 35A will be annulled as it is discriminatory in nature against the non-residents of Jammu and Kashmir. Urging for a firm and complete majority, Jaitley questioned that does India requires a fragile government or a decisive one?
Jaitley took a jibe at the Opposition and added, “This manifesto, in a season of manifestos, is not prepared with a 'tukde tukde' mindset. It is not even prepared with an 'Ivy league' mindset. This has been prepared with a strong nationalist vision.”
