kishtwar, Apr 22: Around half a dozen government schools in Drabshalla zone lack basic facilities, the locals said adding the schools lack toilets, drinking water facility and kitchen sets. Locals of Tatani panchayat and panch of Ward No 1 told Early Times that the schools do not provide mid day meals to the students. According to them, the Middle School Kholoru lacks building and is functioning without kitchen set and bathroom, whereas building of Govt Primary School Yaseenabad is still waiting for building to get completed. "Two teachers are engaged in the said school but number of students enrolled in that school is only six. The building is under construction since 2013. Students are taught in a private rented rooms.
Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Drabshalla on phone refused to provide any information. He demanded a written complaint sought by the locals. |
