Drug pedler arrest, 191 gms charas recovered

RAMBAN, Apr 23:Ramban Police carrying forward its drive to make a drug free society, achieved a major success by arresting one notorious drug supplier and recovering 191 gram Charas from his possession at Gagarsulla,Gool during a naka laid by SDPO,Gool Mohd Rafi Giri.

According to the Police this achievement is part of the already initiated war against the menace of drugs in our area whereby all the field officers have taken a pledge to uproot this evil from the society.

The public of the area has time and again requested and demanded strict action against drug pedlers /addicts and on the basis of that a Police team headed by SDPO Gool laid a surprise naka at Gaggarsulla,Gool road and started checking every passerby. In between, one person seeing the Police party tried to flee away. But the alert cops chased and overpowered him. On search of the accused charas like subastance got recovered from him.

In this regard case FIR No 25 of 2019 has been registered at Police Station Gool U/S 8/20 NDPS Act and investigation entrusted to Inspt.Niaz-ul-Hassan SHO P/S Gool.

During preliminary investigation, the peddler has been identified as Mohd Iqbal son of Mohd Ubaid Shah resident of Gagarsulla Gool,District Ramban. Further investigation into the case is in process.

The arrest and recovery has been made under the close supervision of SDPO Gool Mohd Rafi Giri , Addl SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and overall supervision of SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
