DAVC Chandigarh enters final of Red Bull Campus Cricket 2019

JAMMU, May 8: From a scintillating season in 2018, Red Bull Campus Cricket returns to bowl over budding cricketers in the country. Taking the competition up one more notch, the global T20 college cricket tournament has added two new cities (Dharamshala and Meerut) to its roster and will witness the highest participation ever over 300 colleges across 30 cities. Red Bull Campus Cricket 2019 city qualifiers are taking place from 3rd February to 12th March across 30 cities in India - Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Jammu, Dehradun, Dharmshala and Meerut. After the city rounds and the city eliminators, Chandigarh, Jammu and Dehradun champions played 2 matches each on 15th and 16th April 2019 where DAV College Chandigarh won both their matches and qualified for National Finals in Jaipur. The other 3 city champions Delhi Jaipur and Lucknow also competed in Delhi for the other regional final in the North for the other national finals spot on 19th and 20th April 2019. DAV College Chandigarh beat Science College Jammu in the first match by 57 runs. Science College, Jammu won the toss and chose to bowl first. Match Scorecard: DAV college Chandigarh - 184/5 (20 Overs); Science college Jammu- 127/9 (20 overs ) Sanyam from DAV College won Man of the Match award for scoring 87 runs in 60 balls which included 9 fours 2 sixes.
