RAMNAGAR, May 9: In order to raise awareness among the locals of village Delhar, a camp was organized in Government Middle School Delhar under the jurisdiction of Forest South Range Ramnagar. More than 70 persons including students, Sarpanches, Panches were present in this awareness camp.
This awareness camp was organized with the aim and objective to save the environment by all means for the coming generations.
While speaking in the awareness camp, Jyotsana, Divisional Forest Officer Ramnagar exhorted upon all present to take all possible preventive and preemptive measures to save forests from forest fires. It was also emphasized that forests play a key role in maintaining water level, soil fertility and ecological balance. The concepts like tangible and intangible benefits of forests, ill effects of forest fires, the issues caused due to deforestation and benefits of conservation of forests.
She further emphasized to get this message disseminated to public in general as well as through School going students by persistent efforts on the part of all stakeholders. |
