Jammu, May 9: Model Academy, the school of MIER in collaboration with Shanti Gupta Centre for Women Studies celebrated Mother's Day at HL Gupta auditorium.
Dr. Renu Gupta, Director Centre for Women Studies and Vice Chairperson, MIER was the Chief Guest. Dr. Adit Gupta, Director MIER was the Guest of Honour whereas Rupa Gupta, Joint Director MIER was the special guest.
They were joined by PK Srivastava, Principal, JK Dhiman, Vice Principal and heads of various departments. Mothers were specially invited for a colourful musical bouquet which was symbolic of the various hues of life and joy. The programme was hosted by the students of Class 1st and 2nd.
To pay special tribute to the unfathomed love of this Godly creation, student presented vibrant amalgamation of dance, music, sher-o-shayari.
All the mothers were honoured with specially designed certificates as a token of love & appreciation. Dr. Renu Gupta while addressing the students and mothers applauded the role of mothers world over. P.K. Srivastava congratulated the teachers and students for the great show and said that mothers provide a security blanket for a child.
The programme was compered by Saima, welcome address was presented by Abhiudhay and formal vote of thanks was proposed by Rehaan all the young students of class 2nd . The programme was conceived by Manju Vali, Convener CCA and Co-ordinated by Sumera, incharge of class 2nd. |
