Jammu, May 9: State Youth (under 16) boys and girls teams shall leave today for the national basketball championships scheduled to be held at Coimbatore from 14-21 May, 2019. The teams were screened by the screening committee of the J&K State Sports Council headed by Divisional sports officer Jammu, Ravi Singh at the basketball arena of the MA stadium on Thursday.
The teams were attending a ten day coaching camp at the same venue following open trials on the May 1.
The boys team comprise of Rishab Walter, Aniket Chib, Jayan Rathi, Prince Tanwar, Bilal Choudhary (all STC Jammu) Shushant Shehriya, Ritik Sharma, Rinu Tomar (all APS Ratnuchak), Yuvraj Singh (APS Kaluchak), Adeeb Wani, Ahmed Nisar (both Srinagar) and Jatin Gandotra. Mir Mursaleen shall accompany the team as the Coach.
The girls team includes Sugandhi Sharma, Vedehi Mattoo, Rinki Tomar, Arushi Sharma, Kashish, Ravroop, Myeisha Najeeb, Maria Ejaz, Preeti Sharma, Rimjim, Sakshi, Anupriya and Ujjwal. Abhishek Sharma shall accompany the team as the Coach. |
