Traffic Police to paste wrong parking stickers on erring vehicles’

Mohan Lal Kaith, SSP Traffic Rural Jammu visited Mughal Road and Mendhar convened a meeting with the members of Beopar Mandal, prominent citizens and the owners of the local Transport Associations including drivers of commercial vehicles. Mohd Rafiq DySP Traffic Rajouri - Poonch and concerned DTI/SO(T) were also present in the meeting. Some of the prominent citizens, who were present in the meeting, were Kafeel Khan President Tats sumo Union Mendhar and President Kissan Mazdoor Union Mendhar Majid Khan Bobby besides 100-150 persons.
During the meeting, the participants raised their various issues regarding smooth and hassle free vehicular movement in the Mendhar area and they have been briefed that their grievances shall be redressed on priority.

Mohan Lal Kaith stressed that in order to deal with the menace of obstructive/wrong parking/parking on road side, Traffic Police Rural Jammu is going to start system of pasting stickers on wrongly parked vehicles as “wrong parking”. Stickers pasted on such wrongly parked vehicles will be compounded in the office of SSP Traffic Rural Jammu by paying a fine of Rs 500 within 15 days of pasting stickers on wrongly parked vehicles. Those who fail to compound their Challan within 15 days, their Challan will be sent to concerned District Court. He has asked the general public to follow the traffic rules for their own safety.
The concerned DySP (T) and DTI have been asked to familiarise the general public regarding this menace through PA system.
