UDHAMPUR, May 11: A Cultural programme in the memory of martyred soldiers held here at Government PG Degree College Boys. The programme was organised by 137 battalion of Central Reserve Police Force.
District Development Commissioner Dr. Piyush Singla was the chief guest, while Director Sher-I- Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur Mohammad Sulaiman Salaria was the guest of honour.
A scintillating performance was presented by famous Bollywood play back Singer Jaspinder Narula with her team along with artists of various cultural troupes. Natrang group Jammu headed by Balwant Thakur gave variety of stage performances depicting rich culture.
A two minute silence was also observed to pay homage to the martyrs who laid down their life in the line of duty.
Senior officers from Civil Administration, Army, Air force, BSF, ITBP and police besides a large number of prominent citizens were also present. |
