16 injured in road mishap at Jhajjar Kotli

JAMMU, May 11: At least 16 people, including six women, were injured Saturday when a private bus hit a stationary truck on Jammu-Srinagar national highway at Jhajjar Kotli.
As per reports, the bus bearing registration number JK02AP 0039, was on its way to Jammu from Udhampur when the accident took place at Jhajjar Kotli after the bus driver lost control and rammed the vehicle into the truck.
Police said that the 16 injured, including six women, were taken to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for treatment. Five passengers were stated to be in serious condition.
The injured have been identified as Amar Singh son of Tara Chand resident of Billawar, Gourav Choudhary son of Faqir Chand of Gho Manhasan, Jeevan Singh son of Balwant Singh of Pargwal, Sumitri Devi wife of Nar Singh of Udhampur, Madhvi wife of Rakesh of Udhampur, Nariender Atri son of Ramesh Dass Atri of Chenani , Shamshad Begum daughter of Liaquat Ali of Domail, Sushma Devi wife of Rajinder Kumar of Udhampur, Sonia daughter of Raj Kumar of Akhnoor, Liaquat Ali son of Sain Mohammad rof Domail, Ashok Kumar Bhat son of Gopi Nath Bhat of Shiv Nagar, Nazir Mohammad son of Din Mohammad of Painthal Katra and others.
