| GHSS Thial organizes debate competition on social media | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, May 20 : A debate competition on the topic 'Social Media has done more harm than good' was organized in Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Thial today in which 10 students drawn from various classes participated. The participants presented strong and convincing arguments both in favour and against the topic and tried their best to prove their point of view. In the competition, Ansh Sharma of the 10th class and Shivali Sharma of the 12th class clinched the first and second position respectively while the third position was shared by Ritika and Meenakshi Devi of 12th class. Sudesh Kumar, lecturer, Sushma Rani, master and Harpreet Kaur, master acted as judges to adjudicate the participants. The programme was conducted by Shambeam Choudhary lecturer and Rajinder Prashad, teacher while all the students and the teachers of the school were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, The Incharge of the school, Lecturer Ashok Sharma appreciated the students for their hardwork, confidence and superb presentation. He said that nothing is good or bad but it is the use or misuse which makes it so. |
