Police hold meeting with retired police personnel of District

SAMBA, May 25: Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Dr. Koshal Sharma convened a meeting with retired Police Officers/Officials of District Samba in District Police Lines Samba. The aim of the event was to access the problems being faced by the retired Police personnel and to take step for their redressal. About 150-160 retired Police Officers/Officials of District Samba participated in the said meeting. In the meeting, Retd ASI Ajeet Singh, the State President of Police Retirees Association, and Retd SI Raghubir Singh, District President Samba highlighted some general issues before the meeting like the opening of Police-Pubic School in District Samba, 15% job reservation in Police Department forwards of police personnel, Construction of Police Hospital in District Samba, Ambulance facilities in far-flung area of District Samba, pay/pension the anomaly of retired Police personnel, financial assistance to retirees suffering from Chronic Diseases/Life Terminal Diseases, welfare/relief fund to legal heirs to perform last rites, and others. SSP Samba gave a patient hearing to all the genuine issues/ demands/ grievances put forth by the retired Police Officers/Officials and assured them that their demands/problems shall be taken up at the appropriate level for their redressal at the earliest. After a session of interaction, finally, a vote of thanks was given by Vipan Chandran, Dy. SP DAR, Samba. Deepak Digra, Dy. SP Hqrs Samba and S.Baljit Singh, SDPO Vijaypur were also present in the meeting. Lunch was also hosted by District Police Samba on the occasion.
