Manohar advocates for revocation of Government disengagement order
5/28/2019 10:28:09 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, May 28: Former Minister and President DCC kathua Dr Manohar lal sharma expressed dismay over present government order to terminate those appointed as adhoc/contractual/consolidated/ temporary basis after 2010 and termed it as snatching the livelihood of thousands of people. Dr Sharma said even after completing more than 10 years of services more than 62000 daily wagers in various departments such as PDD, PHE, FOREST etc. are waiting for regularization since long time also they are not getting their wages released regularly thus leading them and their families to lead a miserable life and instead of clearing their pending wages and regularizing them, the governor administration's behaved in a dictator way by disengaging daily wagers and other workers who were engaged in 2010 and 2015 asked the governor to reconsider his decision
He further said that the daily wagers and consolidated workers are the lone bread winners of their families. Instead of snatching their livelihood, which is a wrong decision by governor administration, these workers should be facilitated for regularization. Manohar said that unemployment in the state is all time high and such orders will create further trouble for people. Urging the Governor administration to immediately revoke this order, Manohar said, "If the government is not able to provide employment to unemployed youth, at least it should not make those jobless who are already working."
