Jammu, May 28: The district hospital Kishtwar is unhygienic and lacks basic facilities.
Besides dirty wards, the hospital lacks mundane items like blankets.
An attendant accompanying his sick relative said drip sets are out of stock and most of the medicines in the hospital store are expired. Accusing the authorities of inaction, he said the poor patients suffer for one reason or the other.
He urged upon DC Kishtwar to personally look into the matter and take a Stern action against the officials found involved in such inhuman acts, so that poor patients may not suffer any more.
He said the hospital presents a shabby look. "The authorities, it seems, do not care much for the cleanliness of he wards and the premises. If a cleanliness drive is not launched immediately, there is every possibility of patients and visitors getting infections instead of cure," he said.
Concerned members of the society have urged the deputy commissioner to take note of the mess in the hospital and take remedial measures as soon as possible. |
