Additional companies of security forces needed to ensure peaceful Assembly polling

Governor, S.P. Malik has suggested to the Centre to lift the Presidential rule. And once the central rule was lifted it may leave scope for holding the Assembly poll. And the Governor has said that after the results of the Lok Sabha elections were out there would be Assembly elections held in Jammu and Kashmir. And Modi is mistaken if Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections are grouped with elections to various states because the situation is quite bad and calls for upgrading the security grid. This means that more companies of the security forces have to be deployed in the valley to control the activities of terrorists. Militants have carved out hideouts in South Kashmir and ready to measure muscles with the security forces. This calls for a full military operations against the terrorists.
The Union Home Ministry has supported the deployment of additional 200 companies but if the number of militants are counted it is big affair. Just 200 companies of security forces may not be able to finish the size of militancy in South Kashmir. It has been reported that militants are backed by large groups of people. And this the reason for large crowds to surface during the encounter between the militants and the security forces. This scene is repeated if slain militants are buried and the civilians clash with the security forces and in retaliation groups of people or either killed or injured. There is widespread anger against this action by the security forces.
This requires additional companies of security forces which may be deployed in parts of South Kashmir and in other parts of the valley. In fact the Government supports peaceful polling and do no want militants to create scare so that voters do no move out to vote. This has happened in Pulwama and Chopin which was part of Anantnag constituency and the two areas witnessed two three per cent polling. This should not be repeated during the ensuing Assemble election which may tarnish the image of India. Hitherto, India has been boosting about retention of democratic traditions but two to three per cent polling may cost slur on India. This has to be tackled so that voters come to the polling booths and Cast their votes. This could help India to retain a fine image.
