Early Times Report

Jammu, June 11: Sikh United Front (SUF) has hailed the verdict given by Pathankot court in Kathua rape and murder case of minor girl.
While addressing a joint press conference of various sikh organizations J&K S. Sudershan Singh Wazir , Chairman Sikh United Front J&K, said that the historic verdict in Rasana rape and murder case is a big blow for those who were bent upon politicizing this heinous crime of the rape and murder of an 8 year old child who was yet to understand the nuances of the childhood and was brutally done to death after being kept in captivity for 3 days and being raped repeatedly in a sedate state.
Wazir also condemned unequivocally the brutal murder of a two and a half year old girl child in Meerut recently by the savage criminals who have no sense of humanity.
He further said that a day to day trial should also be conducted against those responsible for this gruesome act and they should be accorded the death penalty so that it acts as a deterrent for others in future. Wazir along with representatives of other Sikh organisations extended all sympathies and support for the family of the victim. During the press conference Wazir lauded the role of J&K State Crime Branch for conducting the investigation in a highly professional manner and also commended the prosecution wing which projected the Asifa murder case before the designated court , maintaining the highest standards of legal acumen resulting into the present verdict .
