Reasi, June 17: Under the project Preservation and Development of Cultural Heritage of Himalayas, Abhinaya Kala Manch started documentation of historical places like Ziarat Sharif, shrines, forts, palace etc.
It also started documentation of traditional Dogra rituals and costumes, cultural events, Art and craft, old manuscripts monuments, temples and forts at various places of Himalayan and Sub-Himalayan region of Jammu and dissemination through audio-visual Programme cum art and culture and documentation at different schools of the district.
During the documentation of rich cultural heritage of the state the prominent personalities of the particular places including Prof Rakesh Bharti, Prof. Chander Mohan, Master Puri Singh, Sat pal Sharma and Dr Mahreen Khan highlighted the importance of traditional folk dances and rich cultural heritage of the state. The team members who visit various places for documentation included Rohit kumar, Hardeep Bhagat, Anjali Anand, Tarseem Kumar, Aamir Khan, and Pritam Kumar, under the direction of renowned director Shadab Khan who received best production and best director award for the last three years in Drama Festival org. by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages. |
