| Deputy Mayor reviews preparations for Amarnath Yatra | | |

JAMMU, June 19: Deputy Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Purnima Sharma reviewed the ongoing preparations of the arrangements for the upcoming Amarnathji Yatra-2019.
Dr Saleem Khan (Health Officer JMC), Ashok Sharma (Nodal Officer for the Amarnath Yatra 2019 JMC) and Ravi Sharma (ASO) along with their team from the Health Section also accompanied the Deputy Mayor.
Deputy Mayor along with other present Officials of JMC visited the Community halls of Jammu Municipal Corporation i.e. Chanderbhaga Hall, Bhagwati Nagar Hall, Jambulochan Hall and Base Camp where the yatris will be provided shelter for staying during the Yatra.
They also inspected the ongoing preparations for the Yatris at the hall. Ashok Sharma, Nodal Officer informed the Deputy Mayor that all the works like painting, sanitation has already been completed and are ready for the Yatris to stay. She also visited the Yatri Base Camp at Bhagwati Nagar, There she took stock of the sanitation work at the Base camp and other halls at Bhagwati Nagar. She also took review of all the water coolers and make sure that all the water coolers are working.
They took review of street lights and the sanitation facility at the Yatra route. She also discussed the various ideas that can be used for the beautification of the various halls where the yatris will be staying and the route through which the yatra is expected to go. |
