Mayor lays foundation stone of community toilet at Channi Rama

Jammu, June 19: Continuing his drive to provide better development activities in Jammu city, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta alongwith Hon'ble Councilor of Ward No.49 Kamal Singh Jamwal, Executive Engineer JMC Arun Gupta and Anil Gupta AEE /Nodal Officer to Mayor JMC today on 19-06-2019, visited the areas of Narwal, Channi Rama and its adjoining areas of ward no.49 and took stock of various development activities. The Mayor laid the foundation stone for community toilet at ladakh culture and art centre in ward no.49 under Swacch Bharat Mission scheme of Government of India.
The mayor was informed that the toilets complex cost Rs 10.50 lacs & shall consist of 2 ladies and 3 Gents toilet including 3 urinals and a caretaker room. A large number of people particularly from ladakh region use to visit the Culture and art center throughout the year so there are big demand from the public from this toilet block. The community toilet shall be maintained by an NGO. The Mayor JMC reiterated his commitment for the development of Jammu city on the Motto of Prime Minister of India Narinder Modi, i.e sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. He further said that the Jammu Municipal Corporation is undertaking nos of projects in the near future to give an upliftment to the face of Jammu so that more and more tourists can visit Jammu region and take back with them a lasting favourable & memorable impression.
