Jagti Tenement Committee holds meeting, protest
7/9/2019 1:27:03 AM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, July 8: An emergency meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee was held under the Chairmanship of Piyari Lal Thussu, Chairman Jagti tenement Committee. In this meeting, it was discussed in bread and length about the Drinking water supplies, Ration Supplies, Sanitation and Power Supplies as the Migrant Dwellers of the Jagti Camp are facing acute scarcity of Drinking water, Curtailment of Power Supplies, Shortage of Ration Supplies and also problems of sanitation system in the camp.
After discussion of the burning problems, a protest demonstration was held under the leadership of Shadi Lal Pandita Preisent JTC/SKF at the Jagti Camp the protesters said that some of the vested interested persons of our community-so-called coordination committee (Dallals) who met with the Hurriat Leader and asked them that we are not in need of the Town-ship in the valley, and are interested to move to our native villages/Mohallas and cities of their original places where from migrated in 1990.
The President criticised them and informed to all the community and also the Government of India / Jammu and Kashmir including the Hurriat Leaders that they have not any authority to discuss our permanent Rehabilations in Kashmir valley. Pandita said that during the Parliamentary Elections recently, Amit Shah Home Minister of India in a T.V Channel categorically stated that Migrant KP's have not cast/franchise their votes for B.J.P and they should made up their mind for casting their votes in f/o B.J.P then the B.J.P will think over their problems.
In this interview, some of the persons blamed to the community presently under exile in our own country that these KP's are not loyal to the country and the Government has provided them all facilities and are not casting their votes. The current survey itself reveals that atleast 86% of K.P's have caste their votes to the B.J.P. These persons should apologize the Exile people for committing such false issue otherwise we shall protest against such persons. We earnestly appeals to the B.J.P High command to identify these two persons as they are not well wishers of us and creates a wedge between the Exile KP's and the State and Central Government.
Pandita said that right from the date of our migration from the valley, we have been demanding three satellite townships at Baramulla, Anantnag and Srinagar and also demanding the three parliament Seats and 10 Assembly Seats to be reserved for the dislocated community to raise their voice at the centre.
Others who attended the protest are Sh. Kashi Nath Bhat, Mithan Pandita, Pran Nath Pandita, Vijay Kumar, R.L. Dhar, C.L.Bhat, S.K. Bhat, R.K. Raina, C.L.Pandita, A.K.Bhat, V.K.Bakshi & other members.
