JAMMU, July 16: Government Degree College (GDC) Nagrota was inaugurated by Talat Parvez Rohella, Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department J&K in presence of Prof RK Ganjoo, Director College Development Council University of Jammu and Dr Hemla Aggarwal, Principal Government College for Women Parade Ground, Jammu. Government Degree College Nagrota is also amongst the 52 new colleges which got sanctioned and opened recently in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Talat Parvez Rohella, inaugurated the college by unveiling the curtain in the college campus where large number of prominent citizens participated. He interacted with the prominent citizens regarding the future plans related with opening of Science and Commerce Steam in the college. He also interacted with the students of the newly established college and encouraged the students to take the benefit of this college. He emphasized on giving computer knowledge to all the students. He along with Prof Ganjoo, Prof Hemla Aggarwal, Prof Chander Shekhar planted saplings in the college campus. It is pertinent to mention that the classes started today after the re-opening the colleges.
