Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 16: Movement for Peace, Equality and Justice (MPEJ) has criticized the statement of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Firdous Ahmed Tak regarding Kishwar region.
The members of the movement reminded Firdous Tak that in village Afani of Sub-Division Paddar, two Village Defense Committees have been formed, which comprise of only and only Muslim community members. Earlier also when VDC were formed, engagements was made on the basis of demands from the villages concerned without any criteria of a particular religion. Terming the statement of Tak as totally misguiding and inflammatory, the members of the movement said how he closes his eyes in respect of Gool, Banihal & other areas of erstwhile District Doda where engagement of VDC members as purely from Muslim community.
The members of the Movement have urged upon the administration to take immediate cognizance of the statement and its highly inflammable sentiments and appealed the general masses not to lend ears to such ill conceived motives of the dis- grunted politicians as time has come to rise above such sentiments to live in a broadly communal harmony and brotherhood atmosphere for all-round development.
