| School, colleges to remain close today, restrictions likely to be eased in Jammu | | |

Jammu, Aug 5: Schools and colleges all over the state will remain close for Tuesday also. Decision in this regard was taken by the higher up of the administration after reviewing Monday's situation.
After reviewing the decision it was decided that schools and colleges should be remained closed all over the state. Situation will be reviewed on Tuesday evening to take a decision, highly placed sources said.
Meanwhile educational institutions remained closed on Monday and restrictions imposed in several districts as the Valley remained on edge with authorities stepping up security deployment.
The authorities have imposed night curfew in Kishtwar and Rajouri districts and Banihal area of Ramban district, while restrictions were imposed in many districts of Jammu division and Srinagar.
There was a complete bar on holding any kind of public meeting or rally."Identity cards of essential services officials were treated as movement passes wherever required. Schools and colleges in Jammu, Kishtwar, Resai, Doda and Udhampur districts remained closed. Meanwhile University of Jammu shall remain closed on 6th August 2019.
University of Jammu has also postponed all UG and PG examinations and Admission process to be held on 6th August 2019( Tuesday). New Schedule for admissions and fresh dates for holding examinations shall be notified later on. |
