| 2 drug peddlers arrested, 45 gm opium recovered | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Aug 5: Acting sternly against the drug menace and its propagators in the area, Police arrested 2 drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba and recovered 45 gms of Opium.
A Police Party of Police Station Samba headed by SHO, Inspector Shiv Dev Singh under the supervision of Dy. SP Hqrs. Samba, Tilak Raj Bhardwaj while performing patrolling duty in the SIDCO Chowk Samba area, noticed some suspicious activity inside an Alto Car bearing Registration No. JK21D-8806 which was lying side by near the SIDCO Chowk Samba.
During frisking of the two persons sitting inside the car, 45 gms of Opium was recovered from their possession.
The accused persons identified as Sonu Din son of Mohammad Ali resident of Mehma Pandori Tehsil and District Amritsar and Murad Baksh alias Muradu son of Haji Kalu resident of Chak Manga Gujjran, Samba has been arrested and the contraband item was also seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No.161/2019 under section 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started. |
